Terminal server flash player install
Nothing drives me more crazy than watching Adobe's website insist on first downloading and installing the Adobe Download Manager to then install Flash. Also, why on FSM's green earth would you put Flash on a terminal server? Do you have an actual business case for it? Does it not run like shit as well? I know that Citrix accelerates it via some plugin, but we don't even do Flash on our Citrix servers ZPrime wrote: Honestly, for Flash, it shouldn't matter much.
I know our OBIEE servers use flash for interactive charts, though we're actually going to change this because they want to ipad enable the site and nobody really uses the interactive charts to any real extent.
Another one is our annual employee ethics training is done in flash. Quote: our annual employee ethics training is done in flash. That's unethical. We also need flash on our TS or at least the planned use due to random "just important enough" websites.
We distribute the MSI's but keep the exe around for machines where the user somehow managed to break the install by powering off in the middle of it; when that happens the MSI won't work anymore and we have to install with the exe. Weird, but for 5 or 10 out of a couple thousand I can spare 4MB of disk space for it.
This absolutely infuriates me. Answered by:. Archived Forums. Group Policy. Evans 0. Sign in to vote. Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but here goes I have a server environment that uses terminal server and all user devices are thin client. However, even though the most current version of flash player is installed on the server, users without admin rights can not use or download flashplayer.
I assume this has something to do with a GPO, but I've searched and searched with no luck. Does anyone know how to make this work? Thanks for any help.
